At Spinning Hat we are delighted to provide an efficient delivery service to customers within the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. We use a combination of Royal Mail, UKMail and DHL to provide our customers with a flexible, cost effective delivery service.
Orders can be despatched to your home or work place. Deliveries are made on weekdays Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm. We are able to provide both Next Working Day delivery and Standard 2-5 Working Day delivery for the majority of our UK based customers.
We use Royal Mail First class delivery which aims to deliver next day however this is not guaranteed and can sometimes take between 2-5 working days.
For Next Day delivery we use UKMail which aim to deliver by 4pm next day.
Please note: Next Working Day delivery does not include Saturday delivery. If nobody is available to sign for the goods, the courier will leave a card with details of the phone number to call to arrange another delivery.
Within the shopping cart there is a facility where you can add special delivery instructions. For example: “If out, please leave with neighbour”.
We dispatch orders on weekdays only, Mon-Fri except Bank Holidays. If you place your order on Friday before 12:00pm on a Next Day service, then it will arrive on Monday. If you place your order over the weekend on a Next Day service, then it will arrive on Tuesday.

We use Royal Mail Airsure and Airmail which aims to deliver within 2-5 working days. For larger orders we use DHL which will aim to deliver within 2-5 working days.
Please Note: For orders going outside the UK that are considerably larger than average we reserve the right to make an additional charge to cover the increased delivery rate. We will always contact you before any card payment is taken.
How quickly will my order be despatched?
If we receive your order before 12pm we will aim to despatch your order the same day.
How much does delivery cost?
For standard UK web-orders the delivery is free on orders over £15, £2.95 for orders under £15, and for UK priority the cost is £5.95. The price of delivery outside of the UK is dependent on the weight of the order. You will be able to see the shipping cost of your order when you view your shopping basket.
Will I have to pay any Customs charges in my country?
There are no import/export duties on goods shipped within the European Union. All goods shipped to EU countries already have the relevant VAT included.
Shipments sent outside the European Union are sold exclusive of VAT and may be subject to import duties and taxes, which may be levied once a shipment reaches your country.
Please note: It is a legal requirement that we declare the full value of the goods (not including shipping charges) on all packages destined outside the European Union, and shipments may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. It is a criminal offence to falsify the details on this form. We cannot inaccurately describe the contents, claim a lower value or mark as a gift.
Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; unfortunately we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. We are unable to reimburse any costs incurred regardless of the circumstances.
Returns and Refunds
In the event that you are not satisfied with any purchase from Spinning Hat, you may return unused goods, along with all original packaging and any labels within 30 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange.
Return shipping costs can only be refunded where we have sent the wrong goods in error.
We recommend that you use a reputable courier (e.g. DHL) for larger items and Royal Mail Special/Recorded Delivery for smaller items. We cannot accept responsibility for the returned goods until someone at Spinning Hat has signed for receipt of the goods.
Please include the delivery note which contains the order number and a note with the action you wish to be taken with your return.
What happens next?
You now have three options:
1. So that you receive the replacement goods as soon as possible, we recommend that you place another order online as soon as you know you will have to return the original goods.
This means you will have what you need without unnecessary delay, rather than having to wait for the goods to reach us and be processed. If you choose this method you should request a refund for your original order when you send it back.
2. If you wish us to receive the return and process an exchange for you then please include the relevant information concerning the alternative goods required and this will be processed upon receipt.
3. Finally, if you do not wish to place another order or exchange the goods and would just like a refund, then let us know and we will do this as soon as your order is received.
If an item is delivered faulty or becomes faulty through normal use then the following action needs to be taken:
For purchases under 30 days old, we will exchange the faulty item at our expense. Please e-mail email@example.com with your order number and daytime contact number so we can arrange an exchange delivery.
Please retain any proof of posting, receipt or tracking number for any item returned as we cannot accept responsibility until a member of our team has signed for receipt of the goods.
